Métis Family Services

To honour the lands upon which this centre will operate, the group felt it was important to include the Halq’emeylem language in the naming of the centre, Growing Roots. A grand kw'as hò:y to Malila and Siyamiyateliyot for providing us with the Halq’eméylem translation, tsi'semlomet, which means growing. Before and After School Care

The City of Mission Department of Parks, Recreation & Culture and Mission Public Schools (SD75) are proud to offer Club KIDS recreation.

Club KIDS (CK) is a recreation program conveniently offering supervised leisure activities to kids at their school, rather than having kids travel to the Leisure Centre. Due to the convenient time and location, CK is used by many parents as an ALTERNATIVE to daycare, babysitters, or being home alone.  The kids participate in a variety of recreational activities, crafts and arts as well as Special Guests and Field Trips.

Kids are encouraged to pre-plan activity ideas - thus the name Club KIDS - Kids' Ideas Developing Skills!

Program Information

Club Kids is Offered - Monday - Friday (every day that school is in session) and Professional Days.

*CK is NOT offered on statutory holidays, or during school closures due to vacation (Spring, Summer or Winter breaks - ask us about our Camp Wanarok program!), weather (eg. snow, ice), facility maintenance (eg. power outage, heat, plumbing, etc.), or school employee/contract disputes.
